Comments: On September 27th 1975 my wife Nancy and I were wed in Ridgecrest CA and on that evening her and I and many friends and relatives went to Walker Pass lodge for our wedding night dinner. It has remained one of our fondest memories.

Comments: I am the last of 7 children. Our family lived in Ridgecrest in the 1950's . they moved to sherman oaks in June of 1959 . In September of 1959 , my twin brother and I were born. We heard about Ridgecrest and China Lake growing up my older brothers have great memories of growing up there. My dad would always tell us that he wished he stayed there. He moved to the sherman oaks to work as an engineer for guidance and control on the lunar module. I am trying to put together a history of my father and was wondering if there is anyone left in the area that remembers him and could share any stories.. I realize the odds are not good but I had to try. His name was Bill Schoenbaum and his wife was Mary Schoenbaum. I would appreciate any information.

Comments: I was born in Ridgecrest in 1952. My father worked on the various weapons being developed at China Lake after his discharge from the Navy when he was stationed there. He also had a swing band that served the area until the late 40's. My sister, Carole, was born on the base in 1946. We both graduated from Burroughs High School. My mother, Barbara Kasal, was the first civilian and first woman disbursement officer in the U.S. Navy.
