I was born in Dr. Drummond's hospital in Red Mt. and delivered by him. That was in 1938. I grew up in Johannesburg and graduated from Randsburg High School in 1956. I worked for U.S. Borax for 11 years and then Joined the Ridgecrest Police Department in 1969. I stayed with the Dept. until 1977 when I decided to sell everything and move my family to Cottage Grove, Oregon.

Are you willing to help with pictures? Don't have any old ones, but might have some newer ones.
Are you willing to help with stories? Not much of a story teller.
Comments: Great site! Got here quite by accident, but glad I did. I remember working at La Fiesta when my parents owned it in the early 70's. I also remember a lot of the old businesses that are now part of valley history. Keep up the good work!

What a great site! It was like time travel seeing many of the old buildings! The old La Fiesta building! The only one I don't remember seeing was the old theater building (where the Burger King is now) or the Drive-In. This was a lot of fun! Thanks for your idea and genius! Kami Perry
