Pat Jones died a couple of years ago. I am not sure what is happening with the site now. I was supposed to take it over but things weren't in place for that when he died. I believe the RC Historical society was planning on taking it on. They may just be paying for the hosting?

I love this site! My husband, Bill Schaniel, and I get back whenever we can. I miss the summer's night stars. And King Cow. And watching the sun rise after an all-nighter with the drama club out in the desert. So many, many good memories.

Vance, you were always Vance to me,
I loved my time at China Lake, and the people there. I was so mad at my Dad when he transferred to Point Mugu, you know the main reason. Though I have not been to the base many times, that was disappointing, I have visited Ridgecrest a number of times with my husband on our way to Death Valley and/or Lone Pine. We have a cabin in the Greenhorns near Shirley Meadows so I get to reminice about Youth Fellowship trips to the snow.
What an incredible job you have done with this site. I love it!!! It is a wonderful trip down memory lane. I cannot imagine what it took to put it all together. Kudos to you!

Moved to Inyokern in 1953 and to the base in 1965..my father worked at Mike Lab. Went to Inyokern school K-8th then on to Burroughs.Graduated in 1969
Great place to grow up. China Lake was like an Oasis in the desert.
