I ran across this site while I was looking up some writing that My cousin wrote My maid name is Patricia Stedman. Yes Rus Stedman is my cousin and while losing him so soon it has brought up some memories. My step-dad John Dragovich use to own the bowling alley and boy do I have so good memories of that place. I was born in Lynwood, Ca and when my bio-father passed away my mum moved us to Ridgecrest where my Aunt and uncle lived.We lived there basically from 1959 to 1970 where we moved to Las Vegas. But I did move back home for a short while in 1977 to finish my high school years. Growing up in Ridgecrest was great. those years hold some wonderful memories. Most of my parents friends have pass along with my dad but today I can just sit and tell my girls all about the fun us kids had back then growing up.
One of my most fondest memories was when we had the big parade and the fair. But the parade was the highlight for me. Because we lived on Alane St. and they use to start the parade right behind our house. So us kids use to go out there real early just to see all the horses and the floats plus we use to go for the morning breakfest those were the good old days.
They say you can never go back which may be true , because everything changes but I can always close my eyes and remember.

I was just looking at the article on Atolia. I should note that the Wikipedia entry for Bernard Baruch, who had an ownership interest in the tungsten works there, says he spent one month each year living there. Someone might want to follow up on that and add it to the entry. :)

I grew up in R.C. I went to James Monroe, and Calvery Chapel up on the collage hill. I have recentley found chilhood friends from R.C. My family lived at 724 W. Bataan. My mothers name is Patricia Anderson-Vincent. Edmund R Anderson, was my dad. This site was very comforting for me and I intend to visit very soon.
