The Navy and United States government stole all the land that is China Lake from Miners and Ranchers, and put it to use for things to Kill People, how can anyone be proud to be from Ridgecrest.

My mother Maxine Smith, aunt Amy Pauline Smith, and grandparents, Sidney and Elsie May Smith lived in Inyokern during the late 40's. Sidney was there during construction of something. No one is alive, except Amy, that can tell me about the area, and she doesn't remember much, except for some boy named Billy Owens who also moved back to Missouri. Just wondering if there is anyone that may have crossed their path. Was there a high school that Maxine may have attended? She would have been in the class of 49.

As a kid growing up in Ridgecrest, I hated it; All that I wanted to do was get out. I have never cared to fit in with the small town attitude to either conform or be cast out. Thus, because of the arrogance of the majority of people I encountered in my many years of growing up there, today I am a staunch non-conformist! I refuse to allow myself to have such a harshly judgmental and narrow world-view.
So I owe it all to Ridgecrest!

I moved to randsburg around 1965 ,raised in Randsburg Joburg and Red mt , Went to school in Joburg for two years and then started rideing the bus to Ridgecrest never lived in Ridgecrest but spent a lot of time there.lots of good memories and freinds . i dont hear from anybody anymore mabey someday !!! if anybody remembers me drop a line i would love to hear from you, i live in Idaho now im married (33) years two sons 3 dogs and a cat what more can you ask for. longmont co contact me if you want. ?? i would love to hear from you
