I have some great memories of the old China Lake area, including Ridgecrest, Inyokern, Randsburg and Trona... I thoroughly enjoyed the stories shared by others from that early era... I do remember Ridgecrest as being pretty primitive in '46, a cross roads with a couple of gas stations or stores on the corners. I don't know why there aren't photos of the BHS class of '52 as there are a few of us still around. As a kid I worked for Mr. Wheeler at the Western Auto Store, and then went to work at the base Safety office. Later I joined the Navy and left the area... Certainly is different today, and those old memories are real treasures. Thanks for the website...

Lived in the desert in Washington for 22 years, except of course when I went at school at Washington State University in Pullman. Just got hired out at the base! I am coming your way, look out!
