I lived in ridgerest for 17 years of my life .
I remember thrifty when my grandma took me to get ice cream from there.
That was gosh 11 years ago , thifty is no longer there now there is a doller store there now. Doller tree well i loved ridgecrest because it was small and not too busy but yet there is enouph stores and other things there that keeps people going from dad to day life.
Oh and i remember k-mart used to be right next to the old albertsons but k-mart has moved into a brand new building and its a big k-mart now.
I was 7 years old when that happend, i know my grandpa and grandma lived in ridgecrest alot longer then i have my grandpa worked on the base or naw,s air force base and he remebers ridgecrest when there was hardly eny stores around.
He has old piturces of the base back in the 30 i would love him to give you guys a copy of that because i viewd your photos and you look like you dont have that .
I will speek with him and email him this web adress so he can give you more info about that!
Well i moved from ridgecrest about 3 years ago to Hayward ca , i lived therre for about 2 years and now i live in Castro valley witch is about 15 minuets from SanFrancisco .
I miss ridgecrest and my husband and i are planning to move back when my kids are a little older .
I have 1 year old a 2 year old and a 3 year old , And were exspekting again so im happy and very busy all the time but i love being a full time mom!

Your website is great, and sure brings back alot of wonderful memories. My wife is a native of Inyokern/ Ridgecrest and we still have family living in the area. We hope to someday soon move back to Ridgecrest. Durning my time there I worked for Contel telephone company at China lake NWC. Brenda my wife also worked on base at Thompson Lab.
