I tease my mom about Ridgecrest......it's like living in the play, "Our Town." Most kids think it is a miserable place,a nd they complain. They do not yet realize the valuable, precious memories they will have and a community that truly is unique from any other. I do not regret growing up there, not at all. I think of all my moms friends, my teachers, like the Parkers who just loved and changed everyone's lives, the history, the culture, the talent, the incredibly brilliant minds, all of it, I admire Ridgecrest. If there were more of an opportunity for me there career wise, and if I could afford a home with A/c not a swamper I might consider it again. I cannot stand the wind and I don't miss stepping on stickers! But I do miss the soul ties, and the wonderful people that make that town so unique. I feel exceedingly blessed to have been a part of that history. "Our Town", will always be my special town.

Comments: My family and I moved here from San Diego in 1963 with the expectations of getting design experience and then moving to the Silcon Valley. We fell in love with the place and the people and have never left. Living on base in the 60's and 70's was a most remakable experience.
