To all and Pat in particular, Thank you for the wonderful dedication to Shasta. And thank you to all of those who have expressed an interest in his story. It means a great deal to David and I. I hope you all continue to enjoy the entire site and if you have contributions of pictures, memories, etc., you will send them on to Pat. His labor of love for the Indian Wells Valley and for all of us to enjoy, is quite an undertaking. And I know, though many of those who visit may not take the time to say so, are enjoying the trip down memory lane. Thank you all again. Cathy

I really have enjoyed this website! It's funny how Ridgecrest manages to grow on you. I moved here from Orange County as a 13-yr-old, and I couldn't imagine how people managed to EXIST here! In fact--my mom, when asked by the movers where she wanted our piano, said, "Put it anywhere! We're NOT staying!" And yet here we are... 24 years later. There's something about this place that draws you in; the nice people, the feeling of community, just a level of comfort that you don't find many places these days.
