Comments: This cool web page is way over due. I recognize the majority of the places/buildings in the photos and know the China Lake story. From James Monroe to Burroughs to Cerro Coso, most of my important learning experiences come from and remain with Ridgecrest.

Comments: What a wonderful site this is. Thank you! My sister and I were so naive, we thought we were going to waterski on China Lake when we moved there from the east coast, and were more shocked than you can imagine when we first saw the desert landscape. China Lake turned out to be the favorite duty station of my entire family. Burroughs was a great place to attend high school, and the desert was a beautiful and rich place to spend my teenage years. The gorgeous pictures of those wide open spaces make me homesick.

Comments: I'm living again in the desert, high desert, but I truly miss home (R/C) and my friends that I grew up and went to school with. I guess I'll have to send this site to some of the ones I am still in touch with so they can remember too.
