My mother is Janet Ragan Billington. A google search is showing that someone on this website would like to contact her. She grew up in Ridgecrest, and I have lots of pictures of her with her sister Shirley, and their dad William Ragan and stepmom Dorothy Ragan. I think they owned a motel there. Mom died about 12 years ago. If you'd like to know more about her please drop me an email.

Greetings, My name is Belinda McCree. I was stationed at NWC China Lake from 79' to 82'. My first child was born at the Ridgecrest Community Hospital. I plan to return in a couple of months to show him where he was born. I would love to make contact with any friends who may still be there and I could use some help in arranging a visit to the base. I am a disabled vet and i hope to be able to. My contact info is omisanyak@yahoo.com. Please reach out. Peace and Blessings to all.

Graduated from Burroughs in 1966 and Married Al Craver in 1966. Moved into new housing track Sage and Sands in 1957 which was behind Champs Market and Reads Department Store, Mary Sue dress shop and Dudley shoe store which became Karls show store later, I was 10 and went to James Monroe. My Dad Bob Peyton and Uncle Ken Keeling owned the Mobile station at the triangle. Al was employed by K&R Market when we married in 1966. Raised 2 daughters here. One now lives in Phoenix, Az. it just wasn't hot enough here. One still lives here and my Mother still live in the house bought in 1957. Al retired Oct 29,2006 from Base and we are trying to decide if we want to try some place else. It was great growing up here when everyone knew each other. Brother Charles lives in Bakersfield, Bob is still here and sister Nila.

I looked at some of the pictures, comments-they make me homesick for good old R/C. My mother still lives there, she is a true desert rat. The comments about the freedom of the desert and it's beauty are right on target. The desert is about living large, lots of space, lots of sky, lots of wind. It's very spiritual.
