Interesting site.  I haven't been to the China Lake/Ridgecrest area for years.

My father was the projectionist at the Ridge Theater and the drive in for many years back in the 50's and 60's.  I used to "walk" the lot with him at the drive in on weekends to test speakers and replace torn off speakers at the drive in from the time I was 11 years old.  It was quite an experience.

Cool site. I moved to R/C the summer after graduating from high school in Washington state. I wanted no part of the desert then. But I came to love it there. I left in 1989. But I have come back at least once every 2 years or so to visit family and friends. I moved around the west coast for about 6 years after leaving R/C and finally ended up in Myrtle Beach, SC. in 1995. There's actually sand with the water here.

I graduated from Burroughs High in 1989. I just  want to say "Hello" to my class mates.  I am doing well. I have two boys now. They are 10 yrs. and 12 yrs.  I was married for about eight years, now I am divorced. Im living in Bakersfield, working, enjoying being single.

Don't find much on class of '52.  Have been looking for a dear friend for years.  Her name is Janet Ragan Billington.  Would love to hear from someone who had any idea where she may be. 

Even though we left after my freshman year at Burroughs I have always felt that Ridgecrest was my hometown.  After finding this site I've spent way too much time visiting from afar and remembering all the fun times with my old friends!  Thanks for the memories!
