I recently found out that my relative helped in the establishment of the base. He passed away about a year ago in Whidby Island. Does anyone remember a Marine named Dean Henderson? Thanks and God Bless you.

I love this website. We moved back to Ridgecrest in October of 2005. The last time I lived here was from 1988 until 1991. I've used this website to visit places that I never knew existed. Burro Schmidt's tunnel being the last one. This is a beautiful part of the desert.

Comments: I was a plane captain on the drone line in the early 60's, I worked part time for a man named Benny who had the janitorial contract for Genge and other offices around town. My wife worked at Drummond as a clerk and our first child was born while stationed at NAF. Reading the names of all the places I see here has given me goosebumps. China lake seems to one of those places that lodges in your heart.
