The Thompson Family moved to Ridgecrest after WW II in 1946. My father was the first of our family to bo born there. My Grand-Father, put up the plane that is at the front gate to the base.

a gallon of gas, $.26 a burger & coke @ Circle A, $1.50 a night out @ the Crest, $5.00 out-running the sherifs, after getting caught dragracing @ Wagon Wheel, Priceless. Would love to hear from old friends,,,

Ridgecrest was the one place that I always felt comfotable. I went to Cerro Coso from 98-00 and then I worked for MWR on base for a while and also worked at Red's Backwoods BBQ. I have wonderful memories of a great town. If I am ever in CA again I would love to visit there!!!

How many years were you in the desert? Never in a desert but was without beer for six days once.
